Peace Poetry by Robin

"Peace Lives"

Peace lives underneath the heartache

Peace sits underneath the pain...

Peace supports you through the sorrow,

It's the rainbow during the rain.

Peace is in beginnings and in endings

Peace is blossoming friendship that God sends--

Peace can be camoflauged by war,

But true Peace truly never ends.

One day Peace will bloom in glory from the earth,

For it has strong roots deep in the ground.

Peace will one day be Victorious!

Because Peace is Everywhere Love can be found.

"I turned the rock over"

I turned the rock over

and underneath was a stone

I turned the stone over

and underneath was a bone

I turned the bone over

And underneath was a skull

I turned the skull over

And underneath was a gull

I turned the gull over

and underneath was a song

I turned the song over

and then hummed along...

It sang of rivers and streams

of mangled hopes and forgotten dreams

of polluted fish and dying plants

It sang of immeasurable pain...

of life coming apart at the seams.

But then it paused, and took a breath

and sang of sunshine after rain

of hope after despair.

It sang of what was

and what was meant to be...

Finally it told me

how to set ourselves free

it said just live,

just be

just forgive

just love

just turn over

a new leaf

to find the hidden tree

of life

the sacred tree

that is

and always has been

right here

inside your heart.

"Peace on Earth"

Peace on Earth would be just grand

Gentle cloud floating to a distant land

Moonlight tinting a deep blue sea

An open field and a silent tree

Peace on Earth for You and Me.
